AiM Study Retreat - Margaret River WA 2nd Feb - 3 Days 2023

Following on from Margy Verba & Monika Volkmar's Successful AiM Retreat in the beautiful Hudson Valley New York, we are aiming to bring the Magic Downunder! 

Your Hosts have designed this 2-day retreat to create an environment aligned with a successful AiM student:

Keeps it simple, even when it appears complex

• Curious, not here for answers but here to embark on a journey of self-discovery
• Fearless, free to be wrong, free to explore
• Free from expectation
• Completely ok with not knowing
• Always trusts the process

The intention is to help you get better results with your clients using AiM, and to hold a space in which you feel safe to take risks, experiment with your clinical reasoning process, and possibly (probably, hopefully) fail. The best learning comes from fearless failing. 

You can expect:

• 7 hours/day of “class time”
• Practical assessment and application of the FMM and phase exercises
• Gait analysis case studies
• Guided movement exploration and self-check-ins to improve your awareness of your own body’s challenges and needs
• Time for your personal questions
• Our “clinical pearls” based on our real-life experience
• Community: Hang out, study, laugh and be supported by your AIM Tribe
• Time to enjoy moving outdoors ((kayaking, supping, surfing, mtb biking, hiking, etc.) and sitting around a campfire sampling famous Margaret River Wines in the evening to unwind after a day of delightful anatomical studies. 

 We hope to support you in learning to trust yourself- your observational skills and your intuition, so you can hone your own unique way of navigating the FMM efficiently and effectively using the tools and skill set you already have. 

SPACE IS LIMITED to 10 - 12 Participants. 

*Registration is only open to AiM students who have completed the 6-day immersion, or 4-day FMM application courses 

TUITION COST: $1050 AUD Early Bird 10% before Dec 30 2022, After this Date $1250 AUD  

Includes: Lunches Fri/Sat/Sun (local organic fare - vego option)

• 7 hours class time per day
• Use of Studio Props, Mats, River Toys ( Kayaks, sups, canoes, etc) 
• Accommodation is NOT included (suggestions below) 

ROUGH DAILY SCHEDULE:

Thurs Feb 2 :

• 3-5pm: Arrive to get settled in.
• 6 pm: Dinner and hangout
• 7 pm: Your questions, campfire if appropriate - Weather & Wind Dependent (We are in a bushfire zone) 

Fri  Feb 3 :

• 7am: Breakfast
• 8am- 12pm: Class time
• 12pm-1pm: Lunch
• 1pm-3:30pm: Class time
• 3:30pm- 5:30pm: Nature time
• 6:30pm-7:30pm: Dinner
• 7:30pm onward: Campfire/personal time/ Group dinner reservation 

Sat Feb 4 :

• 7am: Breakfast
• 8am- 12pm: Class time
• 12pm-1pm: Lunch
• 1pm-3:30pm: Class time
• 3:30pm- 5:30pm: Nature time
• 6:30pm-7:30pm: Dinner
• 7:30pm onward: Campfire/personal time/ Group dinner reservation 

Sun Feb 5 : 

• 7am: Breakfast
• 8am- 12pm: Class time
• 12pm-1pm: Lunch
• 1pm-4pm: Class time
• 4pm onward: Option to stay longer hang out at the retreat centre, walk in nature

Mon Feb 6 : 

• Optional 1:1 sessions with Riccardo or Monika, must be booked in advance, contact us to book

Transportation options:  

Getting to Margaret River from Perth - Arriving into Perth, allow 3-4 hours for the drive South. 

Another option - Melbourne to Busselton flights are operated by Jetstar only, and this direct route is offered three times per week. The morning flights will be departing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, leaving Melbourne at 9.40am and arriving at the newly-upgraded Busselton Margaret River Airport at 9.05am. The Jetstar Melbourne to Busselton flights will be the first time travellers can fly directly into the gateway of the Margaret River, rather than having to make the three-hour drive south upon arriving in Perth.  Flying to Margaret River from Melbourne. 

Recommended to bring:

• Active Wear for free-flowing movement 
• Toys - Surfboards, Mountain bikes, Trail running shoes 
• AiM wedges
• Notebook, writing utensils
• Layers! It may be hot or cold, dry or rainy. Bring options.
• Musical instrument (for campfire time)
